NOAA's Technology Transfer Program is housed within the NOAA Technology Partnerships Office. The program is responsible for NOAA's portfolio of innovations, including patents, patent license agreements, and Cooperative Research and Development Agreements (CRADAs). The goal of the program is to ensure a rapid and cost-effective transfer of NOAA's technologies from the Lab to U.S. industry for direct use and/or commercialization.
For U.S. companies that are interested in working with NOAA, you may wish to review our list of open licensing opportunities from the main menu. If you are interested in partnering with NOAA, our office can refer you to the most relevant laboratory or program to start a discussion.
